My husband and I recently celebrated ten years of marriage! It is crazy to think that ten years has already passed, and in another breath I cannot believe is has ONLY been ten years (if you have been married for any amount of time you know exactly what I mean lol)!

To celebrate the momentous occasion we got a hotel in Downtown Pensacola. For fun we decided we wanted to try some of the best desserts in the area. So we did what any millennial would do- we googled it.

To our dismay, we were left with very little options on the subject and the few that were available had very little hype.

So whether you are vacationing to Pensacola Beach or a proud local, here is a blog that highlights some of the best desserts in the area that also are deliverable by Doordash (because sometimes you just want a good dessert without ever leaving the couch or hotel room).

Crabs’ Death by Chocolate Cake

If you are a chocolate fan (I mean, who isn’t??) then this is the dessert for you! This chocolate cake was one of the moistest pieces of cake we have ever had. The richness of the icing was on point and the addition of the chocolate chips made each of our sweet tooth beg for more. Seriously, once you start eating it is so hard to put down.

Note: This piece of cake is HUGE and definitely a two person job.

2. Flounder’s Key Lime Pie

This key lime pie is second to none. The citrus, tart, but also sweet flavors make this dessert hit all the right places. The texture of the graham cracker crust balances out the silkiness of the pie. You will not be disappointed!

Note: Key Lime is actually Florida’s State Pie. So having this dessert while sitting on the sandy white beaches is one of the most Floridian things you can do.

3. McGuires’ Cheesecake

I am going to be 100% honest. McGuires’ cheesecake is the best cheesecake I have ever had (I am a self proclaimed classic cheesecake connoisseur). I have literal dreams about this dessert and my mouth is watering just typing about it. The proportions of cheesecake to crust is dreamy, however the biggest thing is the fact that it has the perfect amount of sweetness. The pieces are very large that it takes me and my husband to finish it.

Note: I am personally not a fan of cherries so we order ours plain. You will NOT be disappointed!
